ITS BEGINNING TO GET TO ME
Not emo-ing, i promise.. The title is a tribute to my favourite track from Snow Patrol's new album, Eyes Open..
It has been awhile hasnt it.. Truth is, I dont even know why im here.. Its not because i find myself pissed off at the world yet again, certainly not because i have too much time on my hands, and not even because of pressure from wacked up friends who miss the details..
No my dear friends, i myself am just as clueless as to what im doing here after all this time.. As i sit here typing this, i realise the words dont flow as easily as they used to.. I miss it, but after alienating it for so long, it doesnt feel the same.. Its no longer home, so to speak.. (I wanted to italicise the word home, but i fucking forgot how to insert the code, cos im using opera, dont ask why).. So its best if i keep it at a bare minimum, 411s of the past month (i think)..
July Highlights
~>Nina came back from Birmingham, and will be here until Sept if im not mistaken.. Promised we'd hook up sometime..
~>The Lang Tengah Trip.. I believe it was from the 9th~12th, including the 6 hours bus drive to and fro.. There were 6 of us.. It was such a fantastic trip, for me especially, since i havent been on a beach since going to Kerteh a few years back.. Did my usual routine, swam like fuck (so yeah, im coloured like tofu, but more so now), made my own walking stick, got bitten all over by schools of small crazy fishes.. It was exactly like the Redang trip, except we stayed on a different island off Redang.. Which i totally approve, because its a lot nicer when its a lil less commercialised.. So anyways, i learned a lot of things during the trip.. But the one that takes the cake would be learning how to play mahjong.. Ive always wanted to participate in one, cos it looks so much fun when ur banging the "cards" on the table.. And goddamn, its even better when u actually do it and win.. (Of course, the only way i could ever win is when renn doesnt play.. That woman can gamble, yo).. So yeah, i gladly skipped the world cup finals for the trip (although i did try to squeeze in a lil tv which didnt work).. Plus, I got a call from Manvin during the bus ride home.. We talked for awhile, it WAS expensieve calling from out of the country after all.. To get to talk to her again after so long, was great..
 
 
 
 
~>Jo's birthday (13th) coincided with the day i went for a catering job on behalf of Starbucks in Shangri-La KL.. Happy Birthday sayang, you are sincerely missed, birthday or not.. The job in KL annoyed me somewhat.. Being around nerdy narcissistic med students really saps the patience out of u.. So much so, we decided to ditch our uniforms on the 2nd day.. Hey this is no fine dining yo, we provide the food, you provide the service.. I dont work for you, so quit acting like im wasting the organisers' money just by sitting down to rest my butt..
~>There was some breakdancing demo in Sunway Pyramid, and somehow or rather Jo, Kyrs and I got to spend the day together.. We tried the new restaurant called Jack's Place there.. Personally I didnt like it.. They didnt let us steal the tabasco sauce.. Bummer.. It was cool though, cos the two of them finally hung out together..
August highlights
~>Obviously 5th was one of it.. I worked in the morning, where i received my 1st surprise of the day.. Flowers delivered right at the counter.. Embarrassing no doubt, but flattered nonetheless.. Jo appeared out of nowhere, apparently the 2nd part of the surprise.. And the 3rd..? My lovely friends took me to dinner at the curve, where i proceeded to stuff myself silly.. We blowed bubbles and bought lamps from the flea market there.. And went straight to Laundry where i absolutely loved the ambience, among other things.. Im going there again sometime soon, no doubt about that..
 
 
 
 
 
 
~>PIKOM PC Fair.. As usual, when technology and ladies collide, men queue up obediently..
~>Marisa's wedding on the 12th.. It was almost like a reunion for me, and she looked positively gorgeous, if not more.. A lovely wedding and a lovely reception dinner.. I didnt really get to know the groom, but i guess its time to let go, for as long as she's happy.. Went out with Jo and Nina on the same day.. Sort of a double date.. Apparently Im related to half of KL.. Figures why the world is so small, and why you always see 777's around town..
